Microsoft has a glitzy promotional video that highlights Copilot’s capabilities and its potential to forever change how we interact with software, create documents, and ultimately, how we work!

“With our new copilot for work, we’re giving people more agency and making technology more accessible through the most universal interface — natural language,” says Satya Nadella, Chairman and CEO, of Microsoft. 

Microsoft has integrated Copilot into Microsoft 365 in two ways, providing users with several new ways to increase productivity:

Microsoft Copilot Embedded in Microsoft Word:

In Microsoft Word, Copilot can help write, edit, summarize, and draft documents. Users can then refine the draft by providing more focused inputs. For Excel, Copilot can analyse data and produce reports in seconds by having it make a Pivot table, produce a graph or both, saving time and effort. Copilot can also create PowerPoint presentations based on user prompts using relevant stock images.

Microsoft Copilot as Business Chat Assitant:

Copilot as announced by Microsoft, acts as a personal assistant and works across Microsoft 365 apps. It works across calendars, emails, chats, documents, meetings, and contacts. It enables users to gather information from multiple sources and keep their teams on the same page. This feature also reduces the time spent on tools and increases productivity.

In fact, 88% of users claim that it has made them more productive, while 74% say they can focus on more satisfying work.
